Chairman Of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Board Of Directors Pays Courtesy Call On The Chairman Of PNB
Chairman of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) Board of Directors, Prof. Dato' Dr. Sudin Haron paid a courtesy call on Chairman of Permodalan Nasional Bhd. (PNB), Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar Aziz at the PNB Tower, Kuala Lumpur recently.
During the meeting, Prof. Dato' Dr. Sudin apprised the former Governor of Bank Negara on the current developments of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø which was established in 1984 by the Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad who was then the Fourth Prime Minister.
He had also proposed the setting up of the PNB Academic Chair at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. Prof. Dato' Dr. Sudin Haron also expressed hopes that PNB could offer funding for research grant to researchers at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and the proposal received positive response from Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar.
Prof. Dato' Dr. Sudin also invited the former Governor of Bank Negara to deliver a leadership lecture at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in line with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's forte as a management university.
Tan Sri Dr. Zeti Akhtar was the seventh Governor of the Central Bank of Malaysia from 2000 to 2016 making her the first woman to hold the post.
