ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ONLINE: The town hall session with the vice chancellor served as a vital platform for the students of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) to effectively voice their needs.

The town hall session, organised by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Student Representative Council (MPP) in collaboration with the Student Leadership and Development Committee, garnered a turnout of approximately 300 students. Senior ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø officials were also in attendance, and the event took place at the SoIS Auditorium last Wednesday.

During the session, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan, presented a series of key agenda items involving the management of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in 2023. These agendas encompassed various crucial aspects such as infrastructure development and maintenance, student activities for the year 2023, as well as the projected expenses of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø for both 2023 and 2024.

Prof. Dr Mohd Foad Sakdan also announced that the allocation to upgrade the internet network at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø campus has been approved. ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø has been granted a substantial amount of RM24.7 million to facilitate this endeavour.

In addition, he also elaborated on the current progress of development initiatives underway within the vicinity of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø campus, including the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Health Centre and various other projects.

"As we take on the task of managing development and enhancing facilities to ensure comfort for everyone on campus, I fervently hope that ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø students will embrace the practice of saving money. By doing so, we can successfully reduce the expenses associated with utilities, and then the money available can be allocated towards the implementation of student activities such as the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Food Bank, which serves as a valuable resource for those in need.

"In addition, I would like to congratulate the Student Association and Student Residential Halls (INASIS) for their remarkable achievement in successfully conducting a total of 857 activities throughout the 2022/2023 academic session. I hope that more high-impact activities can be implemented next year, namely the '1 INASIS, 1 Programme' initiative at the district, national, and international levels. This proposal aims to create a noteworthy presence in the state of Kedah," he said.

Also present at the event were Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Prof. Dr. Ahmad Martadha Mohamed; Dean of Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Massudi Mahmuddin; President of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Student Representative Council, Mr. Muhammad Izuan Faiz Abdul Rahman; and principals of INASIS.
