UNIVERSITY MAIN SUBJECTS LEAP IN THE WORLD UNIVERSITY RANKINGS BY SUBJECT 2022

THE Ranking 2022ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø ONLINE: ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø) achieved yet another milestone when the university's main subject, Business and Economics, jumped to the 201-250 band up from 251-300 the previous year, in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings by Subject 2022, which was released yesterday.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman Abdullah, who is performing the duties of Vice-Chancellor, expressed gratitude that ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø continued to make strides when it successfully positioned in the international rankings for Business and Economics subjects.

According to him, the success achieved was the result of the commitment and determination of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø denizens, especially the Deans and the faculty members at the schools involved, namely the School of Business Management (SBM), Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz School of Accountancy (TISSA), School of Economics, Finance and Banking ( SEFB), Othman Yeop Abdullah Graduate School of Business (OYAGSB), Islamic Business School (IBS), School of Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (STHEM), School of International Studies (SOIS) and School of Technology Management and Logistics (STML).

He stated that the leap in the subject of Business and Economics indicated the strength and potential of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø to continue competing competitively on the global stage in THE World University Rankings.

"Besides that, the position will contribute to students' decisions to continue their studies at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø when we are on the right track by highlighting the high quality of the programmes offered.

"I hope that this accomplishment can be strengthened further to ensure that the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø brand continues to stand out on the global stage and that the aim of being the Eminent Management University is accomplished," he said.

At the same time, he congratulated the Dean and faculty of the School of Education (SOE), the School of Multimedia Technology and Communication (SMMTC), the School of Applied Psychology, Policy, and Social Work (SAPSP), the School of Government (SOG), and the School of International Studies (SOIS) on their success in maintaining their position in the THE World University Rankings by Subject 2022 for Education and Social Sciences.

ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø, in particular, maintained its previous year's standing in both courses, at the 301-400 and 401-500 bands for both the subjects.

Prof. Dr. Haim Hilman stated that success was a collaborative effort involving numerous stakeholders, including instructors, administrative and support personnel, students, and the Ministry of Higher Education.

"I hope Gagasan Gemilang Akademia & Admin Holistik (GAGAH) ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø continues to invigorate the vigour of everyone in elevating the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø brand," he stated.

Times Higher Education's World University Rankings by Subject employs 13 indicators classified into five broad areas, Teaching: the learning environment; Research: volume, income and reputation; Citations: research influence; International outlook: staff, students and research; and Industry income: innovation. Each subject has a unique weighting scheme.
