Kuala Lumpur – The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Bashawir Abdul Ghani paid a courtesy call on the President and the Chief Executive Officer of the Maybank Group as well as the Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank to extend the cooperation network between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Maybank.
During his first visit with the President and the Chief Executive Officer of the Maybank Group, Dato' Abdul Farid Alias at Menara Maybank, the Vice-Chancellor discussed specific banking facilities for staff and students, student mobility, Structured Industrial Training programmes and both internal and external industry training that would involve ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø staff and students.
In addition, discussion on student development and cooperative community development programme between ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø and Maybank were also among the items on the agenda being discussed.
While visiting the Group Chief Human Capital Officer of Maybank, Ms. Nora Abd Manaf, the Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that Maybank would be more actively involved with ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø student development activities, especially with students at Maybank Student Residential Hall (Inasis).
The Vice-Chancellor said the collaboration opportunities would not only focus on student development, but also involve ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø staff.
In addition, the discussion also led to Maybank offering the sponsorship of space on campus.
The courtesy visit which was managed by the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Centre for University-Industry Collaboration (CUIC) also saw the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Affairs and Alumni), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hendrik Lamsali; ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø COB's Assistant Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rushami Zien Yusoff; Director of ºÚÁϳԹÏÍøKL, Prof. Dr. Shahimi Mohtar; Director of CUIC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Marlin Marissa Malek Abdul Malek and ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø senior officials in attendance.
